born in England;  embarked for America 15 Apr., 1635 on the ship "Increase";  settled in Wetherfield, Conn..;  a search for the Increase on the internet reveals a ship called the "Encrease" and the following was found:

 15 April, 1635.

THEIS pties. hereafter expressed are to be transported to New
England, imbarqued in the INCREASE, ROBERT LEA, Mr., having
taken the oathes of allegeance and supremacie, as also being
conformable To the government and discipline of the Church of
England, whereof they brought testimony and cert. from ye
Justices and Ministers where there abodes have latlie been. (viz.)

KILBOUNE, John [1772-1843]
   
born at Claremount, New Hampshire, USA on 2 Feb., 1772;  married Nancy Melinda Hubbard, 1795;  moved to Vermont, 1799 and settled in Bristol;  in 1820 he moved to Clinton Twsp, (Beamsville, Ontario) from New York state.

HUBBARD, Nancy [1777-1854]
  
daughter of Colonel John Hubbard;  she had some experience in cheese making and shortly after moving to Beamsville, Ontario, Canada she and Jacob Beam Jr. started the first cheese making business in Upper Canada.

KILBOUNE, Rowley [1800-1880]
   
born in Bristol, Vermont, 28 Sep., 1800;  married in Clinton Twsp.;  appointed Justice of the Peace in 1843 and Niagara District Presiding  Magistrate in 1845

        (Ed. Note:  Rowley may very well be named after Rowley, Yorkshire, England)

STEWART, William, Reverend [1835-1912]
   
born in Eccefechan, Scotland;  came to Berea College, Kentucky as President;  moved to Canada, 1856;  ordained Baptist Minister in 1859;  married Augusta Kilbourne, dau, of John Kilbourne & Nancy Hubbard;  principal of Toronto Bible Training School from 1894-1906;  an editor of Canadian Baptist Magazine.
