10 James MITCHELL [1775-    ]  mc.1804  Sarah HAMILTON [1778-1842]
James, of Crann, co. Armagh, Northern Ireland;  they had 4 sons and one daughter of which two are known at this time:  Robert and James

Found on RootsWeb - J Micthell, Victoria,BC:
My James Mitchell was born in the townland of Crann, Armagh County, in
1758. In about 1804 he married Sarah Hamilton (b. 1778 in townland of
Gortmalegg). James died at sea, emigrating to Canada. Sarah died in
Ontario in 1842. Their children were:
1.  George- military career. Died unmarried.
2.  Jane- b.1807 Married Wm McMahon. Died Belfast 1832.
3.  Robert- b.1809 Emigrated to Canada 1820s. Married Ann Forbes.
4.  James- b. 1811 Emigrated to Canada 1820s. Married Emma Snider.
5.  Alexander- b. 1813 Gunner in Royal Artillery. Died 1839 at Woolwich

Question to above:
Isaac Mitchell and his wife Jane Parks emigrated to Scotland during the 1840s. The 1851 census for Wigtownshire, Scotland shows that Isaac and his family were all born in Armagh. I have no idea where - not even sure if it means Amargh City or County.  Isaac born circa 1799, son of Robert Mitchell and Mary Stewart.  Jaane Parks born circa 1798, daughter of James Parks and Mary Monison (I think or maybe Morrison).

Isaac and Jane had the following children:
William, born circa 1835
Isaac, born circa 1836
Janet, born circa 1839
Agnes, born circa 1842
and possibly a Nancy.

They all settled in Sorbie Wigtownshire. There is also a Robert Mitchell, born circa 1827 in Ireland, and his family on the 1851 census for Sorbie.
