McLAUGHLIN - SOURCES

McLaughlin>Werry>Turner>Paul Turner

Ireland

Jan, 2005: At this point I have been able to go over some parish records of Coroneary Church and these records make me assume the following:

Thomas McLaughlin and Mary Staford
    A.  William McLaughlin [c.1771]  m. Jane Irwin
    B.  George McLaughlin [c.1779]  m.  Elizabeth Hoey (sic)
    C.  James McLaughlin [c.1780]  m.  Elizabeth Gibson
    D.  Margaret 1781
    E.   John [1786/92-1861]

Known birth are:
    For William and Jane:  1. Thomas 1803;  2. John 1806;  3. Robert 1808 and listed 3rd again is Margaret 1812; 4. ??  5.  James 1817
For a George with wife Jane Irwin there is a John 1806 but I fully believe that this is of William and Jane
    For James and Elizabeth:  1.  Thomas 1809;  2.  Margaret 1815;  3. ??;  4. ??;  5. Sarah 1817
For George and Elizabeth:  1.  Jane 1814;  2.  Thomas 1817
one must wonder why the 3 sons named their first son Thomas - it must be have been very confusing to the family.
